Your advisement appointment is your opportunity to enhance your educational experience at 哈德逊山谷社区学院. 在此期间, your advisor will document the courses you wish to take in the next semester along with any suggested alternatives that may improve your educational progress. Your advisor will pay special attention to how your academic progress 和 course selection may affect degree completion, 未来获得经济援助的资格, 和可转移性, 在适用情况下. To ensure that you get the most out of your appointment, please consider the following:

• 准时赴约. If you arrive more than ten (10) minutes late, you may need to reschedule.
• Bring any notices or letters regarding your academic progress to your appointment.
• 回顾你的 DegreeWorks audit to select courses you would like to discuss taking 和 send them to your Shopping Cart in Schedule Planner for an advisor to review with you.
• If you are in the last semester of your program 和 plan to earn a degree, please be sure to complete a degree application (available from the 注册处) with your advisor 和 submit it to the 注册处 by the due date.

Once your course selection has been verified with an advisor, your AVN will be provided to you so that you can save a schedule of the approved courses that best meet your needs.

You are encouraged to stop by the advisement center at any time with questions about your education.
