Exercise science is the study of how the body responds to physical activity. 这transfer-oriented, two-year associate degree is designed for students interested in beginning their educational path toward a bachelor's degree in athletic training, 运动科学和营养, 运动机能学, sports medicine or occupational therapy. You'll study the relationship between exercise and human performance, as well as the role of physical activity in the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
This is primarily a transfer-oriented program, aimed at providing the first two years of a bachelor's degree in the fields mentioned above. The department has strong relationships with other SUNY four-year colleges and universities who offer exercise science programs, such as SUNY Cortland and SUNY Brockport. Graduates of four-year programs in 运动科学 are prepared for entry- to mid-level jobs in the fitness industry, 比如培训, 力量训练, 管理, directorial and corporate wellness roles.
