The Paramedic degree program is designed to wrap around the 15-course series that leads to the 护理人员证书. The degree program allows you to complete your EMT-Basic and EMT-Internship during your first year of study.
Paramedics interact with critically ill and injured patients and administer medication for emergencies ranging from heart attacks to emergency childbirths.
This academic program is primarily designed for those who wish to enter the workforce immediately following graduation. Job placement has always been very high, with near 100 percent placement for recent graduates.

临床经验
The clinical portion of the program allows you to gain experience and practice procedures learned in the classroom and is broken down into four components. EMSP 201 Clinical for Airway and Assessment is the introductory clinical course, which takes place in the emergency departments and operating rooms. EMSP 221 Clinical for Medical and Special Considerations takes place in various units throughout the hospital, ranging from the emergency department to pediatrics and obstetrics.
EMSP 230, Critical Applications in Paramedicine allows the student to gain experience and practice procedures learned in the classroom and hospital setting in a controlled simulation setting with both live simulated patients and high-fidelity mannequins.
Field internship time is completed in EMSP 240, Final Evaluation Phase. 这是节目的高潮. During this phase, the student is evaluated and expected to perform as an entry-level paramedic.

Courses are taught in dedicated facilities located at 400 Jordan Road in the Rensselaer Technology Park.

Program Goal
To prepare competent entry-level Paramedics in the cognitive (knowledge), 精神运动(技能), and affective (behavior) learning domains with or without exit points at the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician and/or Emergency Medical Technician, 和/或紧急医疗响应级别.
