政策概览

We've provided a snap shot of some of the policies that affect financial aid eligibility below.

  • 入学考试
    To be eligible for state or federal financial aid, a student must be accepted into a major and pursuing courses toward that degree or certificate program.
  • 学历
    To be eligible for federal financial aid (includes the Pell Grant, 联邦半工半读的, SEOG and Federal Direct 贷款), a student must have a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent (i.e. New York State GED or homeschooling).
  • 良好的学术成绩
    学生s must meet the college’s good academic standing requirements as outlined under 政策 and 程序 to be considered for financial aid eligibility.
  • Federal Satisfactory Academic Progress
    To be eligible for federal Title IV student aid, a student must demonstrate satisfactory academic progress.
  • Eligibility for Federal 学生 援助
    All students must meet specified criteria in order to be eligible for the Title IV Federal 学生 Assistance, which includes Federal Pell Grants, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants, 联邦学生贷款, the 联邦半工半读的 Program, and the Federal 家长 Loan for Undergraduate 学生s.
  • Title IV 援助: Satisfactory Academic Progress Review Process
    All students will be reviewed for Satisfactory Academic Progress by the College at the end of each term of enrollment in order to comply with federal regulations.
  • Enrollment Status and Repeat Coursework
    A student must be enrolled at least half-time to receive aid from Direct 学生 and PLUS loan programs and 联邦半工半读的 (FWS). Half-time enrollment is defined as being enrolled in at least 6 credit hours per semester. Full-time enrollment is defined as being enrolled in at least 12 credit hours per semester.
  • 归还第四章援助
    Under the Higher Education Amendments of 1998, 联邦学生补助(佩尔, SEOG and Direct 贷款) must be recalculated for students who withdraw from or stop participating in all of their courses before completing more than 60 percent of the term. This calculation is required under the 归还第四章援助 regulation. 学生s who have no passing grades at midterm will have all aid held until participation can be confirmed.
  • New York State Satisfactory Academic Progress
    New York State academic standards require that a student complete a certain number of credits during each term an award is received, accrue degree credit at specified levels, and maintain a certain grade point average.

注意: Your circumstance must have occurred due to issues beyond your control. 例如以下情况, 但不限于, voluntarily leaving employment to attend college or retirement will not be considered for an appeal.
