治安 (Microcredential)

The nine-credit 治安 microcredential consists of three core classes that can help you determine if you should pursue the Criminal Justice associate in applied science 学位.

Those who complete the A.A.S. 学位准备就绪, after completing Civil Service requirements, to enter the law enforcement and juvenile justice fields.
All three courses in the microcredential can be applied to the 刑事司法A.A.S. 学位.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon the completion of this microcredential, students will be able to:

• Describe administrative functions, 操作, and issues of law enforcement; apply principles of planning, 金融, human resource and technology systems in law enforcement.
• Articulate the history of the police and it’s evolution within the US; describe the issues of community involvement, 公民权利, discrimination as they apply to policing.
• Differentiate between the functions of the three components of the criminal justice system (police, 法院, corrections); identify and assess the constitutional principles relevant to the administration of justice.
