Apprenticeship opportunities are available for a wide range of industries, from skilled crafts to health care, information technology and advanced manufacturing. Approved titles include positions, such as Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic; Automotive Service Technician; Carpenter; Chemical Laboratory Technician; Childcare Assistant; 数控机械; Community 健康 Worker; Direct Support Professional; Electrician; 机电技师; Industrial Manufacturing Technician; Network Engineer; Pipefitter; Plant Maintenance - Electrician; Security Analyst; Software Developer; Tool & Die Maker; and 焊接.

For a complete list of trades that have been approved please visit the Apprenticeship Trades at NYSDOL. Only apprenticeship programs officially registered with the New York State Department of Labor are recognized nationally.

If your company has a registered apprenticeship through the NYSDOL, then you may be eligible to get the related instruction portion of an apprenticeship partly/fully covered. There is funding available for pre-apprenticeships to get interested candidates prepared to enter an apprenticeship program.

It’s also important to note that some employers may be eligible for SUNY funding to pay for their apprenticeship training. 雇主s operating in 先进制造, 医疗保健, IT/Cybersecurity/Artificial Intelligence and other sectors outside of the construction trades can participate in the 纽约州立大学学徒计划.
